BATON ROUGE -- No. 1-ranked Oklahoma's Isaiah Cousins hit a 15-foot jumper with 3.8 seconds remaining to beat the LSU men's basketball team in front of a packed Maravich Center, 77-75, on Saturday.
LSU (13-8, 6-2 SEC), in search of its first regular-season win over No. 1 since December of 2002, tied the game with a three pointer by Antonio Blakeney with 20.3 seconds to play before Cousins drove left around a screen and hit the pull-up jumper.
Tigers guard Tim Quarterman's attempt to answer was blocked near the rim.
Oklahoma (18-2) rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit behind 32 points by senior Buddy Hield, who had 32 points including eigtht three pointers.
