LSU edge rusher Arden Key already is getting attention from NFL scouts, despite his leave of absence from the Tigers football team.
“He reminds me of Aldon Smith,” one scout told Sports Illustrated. “He has bulked up a little this spring, which is good. Great speed and even better potential.”
Key, who seems likely to play both end and outside linebacker in LSU’s 3-4 set, gained nearly 25 pounds over the spring and currently weighs about 265, which he alluded to in a tweet earlier this week. Key said last fall that he planned to gain weight during the offseason.
