BATON ROUGE – Defensive end Lewis Neal and offensive tackle Vadal Alexander were both honored by the Southeastern Conference on Monday for their performance in LSU’s 35-28 win over eighth-ranked Florida over the weekend.
Neal, a junior from Wilson, N.C., was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week after recording a career-high 10 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks against Florida. The 3.0 sacks rank as the second-highest total in a game in school history, while the 3.5 tackles for loss were the most by Tiger since Sam Montgomery’s 3.5 against Auburn in 2012.
