LSU junior cornerback Kevin Toliver II, a former five-star recruit who never lived up to his prep billing, announced Monday afternoon that he is turning pro.
Toliver started five games this season and 18 in his career; eight starts came when he was a true freshman in 2015.
Toliver has excellent size (6 feet 3, 204 pounds), good speed and will test well at the NFL Scouting Combine. But he was inconsistent at LSU and teams will be drafting on potential, not production. Toliver did have two picks and 16 pass breakups in his career, but was overshadowed this season by redshirt freshman Greedy Williams, who beat out Toliver for a starting job in fall camp and had an excellent season.
