Miles never has never lost three games in a row at LSU, but the Tigers (7-2 overall, 4-2 in the SEC) are reeling from consecutive losses to Alabama (30-16) on the road and Arkansas (31-14) at home as they head to Oxford.
The two-game skid prompted a report that Miles was “coaching for his job” in the final two regular-season games, against Ole Miss and Texas A & M.
Miles, who is in his 11th season at LSU and owns a 110-31 record, is under contract through 2019. He has had seven 10-win seasons at LSU and was the third-fastest coach in SEC history to reach 100 wins (in 126 games, behind only Steve Spurrier’s 120 and Robert Neyland’s 121).
