LSU is going to have to replace Garrett Nussmeier at the end of the 2025 season and they might have found their answer via the transfer portal.
Former Mississippi State quarterback Michael Van Buren announced that he will be transferring to LSU. Van Buren was initially committed to Oregon before switching to Mississippi State to play for Jeff Lebby. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
A low four-star prospect coming out of high school, Van Buren started eight games for the Bulldogs this season and threw for 1,886 yards and accounted 16 total touchdowns versus seven interceptions while completing 55 percent of his passes.
