BATON ROUGE -- Behind double doubles by forwards Naz Reid and Kavell Bigby-Williams, the 13th-ranked LSU men's basketball team built a 21-point lead and held off Texas A&M, 66-55, Tuesday night at the Maravich Center.
LSU's five starters where all in double figures scoring and accounted for all of the Tigers' points.
Reid made 6-of-12 shots and finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Bigby-Williams added 10 points and 11 rebounds with three blocked shots. Point guard Javonte Smart had 17 points and seven rebounds. Guard Skylar Mays surpassed 1,000 career points in the contest and finished with 11 points and five assists.
