LSU locked down one of the top recruits in their class, as Maurice Hampton signed his National Letter of Intent to play for LSU during the early signing period.
Hampton, a four-star prospect, is a Top 10 cornerback in the 247 Composite, and the 63rd-rated player overall in the country. He’s out of Memphis University School in Memphis, Tennessee and LSU beat out primarily rivals Auburn, Florida and Ole Miss for his signature.
Hampton was recruited by Corey Raymond and Dave Aranda and while he’ll likely have to wait his turn behind a stacked secondary in 2019, he has the talent to be part of the next wave at DBU.
