LSU fans have adopted a new tradition during the College World Series. It’s the “Rally Beach Ball,” and it’s already made appearances in Omaha. Will it make its way to Tiger Stadium this fall?
It all started Saturday night in the College World Series, when a group of young Tigers fans knocked the ball onto the field as LSU trailed 4-3 in the eighth inning. LSU rallied to beat Florida State 5-4 (LSU’s athletic department website headlined its story on the game thusly: ‘Beach Ball Rally’ Gives LSU CWS Opening Win, 5-4).
Since then, the #RallyBeachBall hashtag has been on everyone’s mind.
