Jared Poche has a scoreless innings streak that has been matched only one other time in LSU baseball program history.

That was by Ben McDonald, whose 44.2 scoreless innings in 1989 stands as the longest in school history, according to a release from the school.

Poche ran his scoreless innings streak another seven innings Saturday against Wichita State to extend his season-long total to 29.

The last of those seven innings moved him ahead of into second place in school history, ahead of Greg Smith and his 28 scoreless innings in 2005.

"I'm not thinking about it much," Poche said of the streak.
