The Texas Bowl is certainly not the bowl game that LSU Tiger fans were expecting just a few weeks ago when they held the No. 2 ranking in the College Football Playoff rankings, and star running back Leonard Fournette was eyeing the Heisman Trophy.
Then, the Alabama Crimson Tide rolled over the Tigers, and LSU went reeling, losing consecutive game in the month of November. Panic entered the minds of fans, as Fournette fell out of consideration for the Heisman, and Les Miles’ status as head coach appeared to be in serious trouble.
However, the skies have cleared in Death Valley.
