The LSU Tigers held off the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday night, picking up a 21-19 victory in one of the most exciting games of the college football season to date.
LSU jumped out to a 21-6 lead, which they took into the fourth quarter. The Tigers had looked dominant all game long at this point, with their defense shutting down the Bulldogs’ running game, and sophomore running back Leonard Fournette going off for three rushing touchdowns.
But while the Mississippi State rushing attack never came alive, senior quarterback Dak Prescott began to look like the player that torched the Tigers for 373 total yards and three touchdowns in 2014.
