LSU defeated No. 1 Texas A&M 6-4 to win its third consecutive series win to bolster its chances of making it to postseason play
LSU, which has won nine of its last 11 games, improved to 31-17 overall and 9-14 in the SEC, while Texas A&M dropped to 39-8 overall and 15-8 in conference play.
A big reason for LSU’s upset victory was the performance of LSU relief pitcher Christian Little. Little (2-0) entered the game at the start of the sixth inning and limited Texas A&M to one run on two hits in 3.2 innings with one walk and six strikeouts.
