LSU will wear gold jerseys for its annual “Gold Game” against Mississippi State on Saturday.
The special jerseys, which the school calls “Gridiron Gold,” are in homage to the Old Gold jerseys the Tigers wore during the 1940s. Additionally, the team will wear white helmets with the players’ jersey numbers on the side.
“We’re very excited to wear the old LSU colors and honor the past with this new uniform,” LSU running back Leonard Fournette said in a statement. “It’s a special moment for us to be able to wear it and represent Louisiana on the field.
