In the midst of a complete collapse on the part of the LSU football team last month, four-star quarterback recruit Feleipe Franks de-committed from the Tigers and flipped to the rival Florida Gators.
Uncertainty regarding head coach Les Miles and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron’s futures at LSU likely played a large role in this abrupt flip. Franks’ announcement to withdraw his pledge to the Tigers came at a time when reports were swirling around the media that Miles was on his way out the door.
With Miles — and quite possibly Cameron — returning next year, LSU appeared to have a decent shot at reclaiming its only quarterback commit from the class of 2016.
