Ehret athlete Jammal Houston was off to a fast start in his first season with the Patriots.
After transferring from West Jefferson to Ehret, Houston picked up several scholarship offers during the summer and into the start of the season, but the 2018 speedster had a setback in last week's 21-7 loss to Destrehan.
With roughly 5 minutes to go before halftime, Houston fielded a kick and on the return went down and couldn't get up. Trainers basically carried him off as he couldn't put any weight on his left leg.
An MRI confirmed that Houston tore his left anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus and will miss the remainder of the season, his coach Corey Lambert confirmed.
