Nearly halfway through the regular season, the LSU softball team is flashing the potential to be one of the top contenders for this year’s Women’s College World Series. Through 26 games, the Tigers are 23-3. They had an 18-game winning streak snapped by Alabama on Saturday before coming back with a win on Sunday to clinch a victory in its first SEC series of the season.
LSU is coming off of a trip to the Women’s College World Series in 2015, but the team isn’t resting on last year’s accomplishments. Featuring a lineup that is hitting .367, the Tigers have their sights set on another deep postseason run in 2016.
