LSU signee Mondo Duplantis wins European championship in pole vault

LSU track and field signee Armand 'Mondo' Duplantis won the European Championship in the pole vault on Sunday becoming the youngest athlete in the competition's history to win a field event.

Duplantis cleared 6.05 meters (19 feet, 10.25 inches) in the event to take home the gold medal.

The 18-year-old Duplantis' mark sets the Under-20 world record and it ties for the fourth-best mark of all-time, regardless of age.
