HOOVER, Ala. – There’s a reason why LSU running back Derrius Guice runs as hard as he does on the football field – and it has nothing to do with football itself.
Guice, known well for his running style, said it’s because of his family and his desire for them to ultimately have more opportunities for themselves.
“My family is still in it,” Guice said at SEC Media Days last week. “I guess the reason I run the way I run is to get my family away from it. I don’t want my family to be in that situation anymore.
