Throughout preseason training camp while the battle for starting quarterback was being waged, LSU senior QB Danny Etling wouldn't access his competition when asked about the strengths of the four other QBs.
But now after Etling was named starter for the Tigers' Sept. 2 season opener against BYU in Houston, he gladly talked about true freshmen Myles Brennan and Lowell Narcisse, third-year sophomore Justin McMillan and true sophomore Caleb Lewis who was awarded a scholarship several days ago after his outstanding work as a walk-on.
