Green Bay, Wisc. -- LSU offensive guard Will Clapp was wearing a walking boot Friday because of a turf toe injury but is expected to play when the Tigers open the season against Wisconsin, a source close to LSU said Friday.
Clapp, who started all 12 games last year, was shown with the boot on his left foot with six offensive linemen posing in Lambeau Field for a photo posted on Instagram by K.J. Malone.
Clapp is listed as the starter at left guard, with sophomore Garrett Brumfield as a backup. Maea Teuhema started at left guard last year but missed a week of fall camp with an ankle injury and is not among the starting five on the depth chart released Monday.
