Danny Etling has had his critics during his time at LSU. But nobody can say the Tigers’ quarterback isn’t willing to push himself through pain.
LSU offensive coordinator Matt Canada said Etling showed toughness by playing through a back injury in spring practice. Canada made the remarks during a Tiger Tour event in Baton Rouge, as reported by Ross Dellenger of The Advocate (Baton Rouge, La.).
Canada said that Etling easily could have taken himself out of action.
“He certainly showed he’s tough,” Canada said. “He easily could have begged out, easily could have said, ‘I can’t go.
