BATON ROUGE -- The LSU football team was ranked No. 2 in the initial College Football Playoff Rankings, it was announced on ESPN Tuesday evening.
After an open date this past weekend, LSU (7-0, 4-0 SEC) will next travel to face No. 4 Alabama (7-1, 4-1 SEC) on Saturday at 7 p.m. CT on CBS.
