Despite a strong push from the in-state Texas Longhorns, four-star defensive back Kary Vincent, Jr. says he never wavered from his commitment to LSU.
“Not tough at all,” Vincent said when asked about the difficulty in rejecting the Longhorns’ overtures.
“My first time visiting LSU, I fell in love with everything,” Vincent said on “Off the Bench” in 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge. “The staff, the community, the tradition of the school. It was just a real feeling and I couldn’t be any more honored and blessed to say that I’m now part of it.”
Vincent’s path to LSU, however, did not come without a significant speed bump.
