This weekend set up as a huge one for LSU’s 2018 recruiting class, and the first big fish has made it into the boat, as junior college offensive lineman Damien Lewis has committed to the Tigers.
Lewis is a 6-2, 320-pound guard prospect from Northwest Mississippi Community College. He is a composite JUCO three-star prospect with offers from West Virginia, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Colorado, among others. He’s the fourth-rated guard in junior college rankings for this class.
Lewis, along with massive tackle Badara Traore, have been major targets for LSU and offensive line coach Jeff Grimes to help bolster a young offensive line for 2018.
