There aren't any moral victories but LSU coach Johnny Jones saw progress in his team in Wednesday night's 78-74 loss to Auburn.
Auburn jumped up on LSU by as many as 15 points in the second half before LSU battled back to cut the lead to as little as two on several occasions although it couldn't retake the lead.
Jones said it was one of the positives he saw in his team mired in a four-game losing streak and has lost six of its last seven games.
"Well I thought guys continued to compete," Jones said on Thursday afternoon.
