LSU announce the hire Kim Mulkey to take over the Lady Tigers women’s basketball program.
Kim Mulkey was previously head coach of the Baylor Bears where she won three national titles since taking over Baylor in 2000.
During her tenure at Baylor, the Bears never won less than 20 games in a season and have won 11 straight Big XII championships.
Mulkey’s move to LSU is somewhat of a homecoming for her. She is from Tickfaw and played at Hammond High School, where she won four state championships and was valedictorian.
During college, Mulkey played for the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters and was a national champion and Naismith player of the year.
