Once again, LSU has found a way to milk more revenue while catering to high-end football fans rather than the average Joe.
When the $116 million renovations to Patrick F. Taylor Hall were completed last December, more green space was added to the current green space which had been occupied for decades by LSU tailgaters, many of which claimed the same spot annually free-of-charge.
Those tailgaters are now being displaced because LSU made a deal with Dallas-based Blockparty to sell tailgate packages for $600 to $1,800 per game (depending on the opponent) and season packages at $3,900 to $8,175.
