The Tigers' team score of 198.275 in Friday's second group of semifinals was an NCAA national championship meet record and the highest score of half-dozen teams moving on to the finals.
The other teams advancing were defending national champion Oklahoma 197.725, Florida 197.800, Alabama 197.600, UCLA 197.500 and Utah 197.050.
Also, LSU senior Ashleigh Gnat earned co-national championship honors in the floor exercise.
