One LSU offensive lineman has been putting in work at the gym. Junior guard Garrett Brumfield set a personal record with a 605-pound squat as displayed via Twitter on Tuesday.
Brumfield (6 feet 3, 305 pounds), nicknamed “The Bruiser,” signed with the Tigers in 2014 as a four-star prospect. The Baton Rouge native is expected to get more playing time on the interior offensive line after appearing sporadically during his first two seasons.
His impressive workout regimen certainly shouldn’t hurt his chances as LSU looks to fill voids at center and guard.
