Wayde Sims arrived at LSU with little fan fare.
The three-star recruit was a standout at University Lab where he helped lead the Cubs to three consecutive state championships and was named the 2015 Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year.
But standing 6 feet 6 inches and 222 pounds, Sims' initial position at LSU was in question.
Sims played mostly power forward and center at the high school and AAU levels but was expected to play on the wing at LSU.
Initially, Sims played more at the three with the Tigers but with the departure of Craig Victor, he's been asked to play power forward more in SEC play.
