LSU football received some very surprising news on Friday.
And it wasn’t good news.
2022 five-star safety Jacoby Mathews, a Ponchatoula, LA native, announced his decommitment from the Tigers on Friday.
“First off, I want to thank the man above and the entire staff at LSU. To all the Tigers fans and commits, it will forever be love whether we get there together or battle on Saturdays,” tweeted Mathews.
“After deep consideration, my parents and I have thought a lot through and I have decided to decommit from Louisiana State University and re-open my recruitment.
