LSU football likely won’t have stud tight end Arik Gilbert in 2021, but that doesn’t mean the Tigers are going to forget about the tight end position.
(Note: Gilbert officially entered the transfer portal earlier this year. He announced his intentions to transfer to Florida, but he recently “decommitted” from the Gators. It’s unclear if LSU would still be an option for Gilbert, but it seems unlikely that he’ll return to Baton Rouge.)
New LSU passing game coordinator DJ Mangas spoke at the Coaches Caravan on Wednesday evening and he made it clear that the Tigers will be looking to utilize the tight end position in 2021.
