LSU football may have uncovered a hidden gem in the 2021 recruiting class.
LSU football, like every other elite program in the nation, primarily targets highly rated recruits.
After all, the teams with the top-rated recruiting classes are usually the ones playing in the College Football Playoff at the end of the season.
But it’s not exclusively highly rated recruits that make an impact for an elite program.
For example, former LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson was rated as a two-star recruit by Rivals in 2017.
