Before the 2018 season started, Myles Brennan was expected to be LSU football’s starting quarterback.
But a grad transfer from Ohio State named Joe Burrow changed those plans.
Burrow won the job just before the 2018 season started, and then proceeded to become a legend in 2019, throwing for 60 touchdowns while leading LSU to a 15-0 season.
When Brennan lost the job to Burrow in 2018, it would’ve been easy for the former four-star quarterback to transfer. After all, at that point he knew if Burrow had any success at all in 2019 that 2019 would bring another year of sitting on the bench in Baton Rouge.
