LSU Football: The main thing Ed Orgeron is looking for in Joe Brady’s replacement

LSU football has an important hire to make in the coming weeks.

Passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach Joe Brady, who was instrumental in LSU’s offensive success in 2019, left the Tigers after one year to become the Carolina Panthers’ new offensive coordinator.

Earlier this week, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger was the “MVP of the whole deal” for the Tigers this past season.

But there’s no denying that Brady brought another element to LSU’s offense (spreading things out, RPO’s, etc).

Coach O is still interviewing candidates to replace Brady, but it’s clear from his comments on Wednesday that he’s looking at the hire as an opportunity to bring some fresh ideas to Baton Rouge.
