Jacoby Mathews hasn’t been rated yet by any of the major recruiting services, but he’s expected to be one of the top defensive backs in the 2022 recruiting class — and LSU football might have the edge to land him.
Mathews, 6-foot-2/186 lbs, is from Ponchatoula, LA, has already been identified by college football coaches as one of the top players in the 2022 recruiting class.
The Louisiana native holds offers from Alabama, LSU, Miami, Mississippi State and Utah.
Mathews has expressed interest in Alabama, recently telling Rivals that he’s “highly interested” in the Crimson Tide.
