The LSU football team was far from perfect last Saturday against the Texas A&M Aggies, but the Tigers still managed to pull out a 19-7 victory, largely thanks to an impressive performance by the Tigers’ defense.
LSU held the Aggies to just seven points and 250 total yards, the fewest allowed by the Tigers in 2015 and Texas A&M’s second-worst offensive performance of the season.
On Monday, two integral parts of that defensive effort were honored by the Southeastern Conference.
Senior linebacker Deion Jones was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week, while defensive end Arden Key earned Freshman of the Week honors.
