Myles Brennan has the tough task of being the guy who replaces Joe Burrow for LSU football in 2020.
I can’t imagine being in a tougher position as a college football quarterback.
But it’s not like Brennan is ill-equipped for the situation. He’s been at LSU since 2017. He’s familiar with LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger. He knows the offense. Plus, Brennan had a front row seat for Burrow’s historic 2019 season — I’m sure the redshirt junior quarterback learned a thing or two last year.
It’s no surprise that Brennan is acting like a veteran leader this offseason, working hard to build chemistry with his wide receivers despite an odd situation where there’s no in-person contact among football players (thanks to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak).
