LSU football was hoping to land four-star defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson on Wednesday, but the Mississippi native opted to sign with Texas A&M instead.
Missing on Jackson is obviously disappointing for the Tigers, but LSU fans shouldn’t be too upset.
Jackson, who is rated as the No. 9 defensive tackle in the nation (247Sports composite), was also strongly considering Alabama.
The Crimson Tide were actually in a better position to land Jackson, so this a bigger blow to Alabama than it is LSU.
But the main reason LSU fans shouldn’t be too upset is because the Tigers already have a pretty stacked defensive line group in their 2020 recruiting class.
