There will be a familiar face on the sidelines coaching for LSU football this fall.
Former Tigers running back Kevin Faulk, who previously served as LSU’s director of player development, was recently promoted by Ed Orgeron to an on-field coaching role.
Faulk will replace Tommie Robinson, who is leaving Baton Rouge for the same role with Texas A&M.
While Robinson was a key recruiter for LSU, Orgeron obviously feels Faulk can help the program even more in that area. Robinson’s contract was set to expire March 1, which clearly means the Tigers were looking to move in another direction.
