LSU football reportedly added an assistant coach on Thursday evening.
According to various reports (including this one from 247Sports), the Tigers are hiring Blake Baker to serve as the program’s new linebackers coach.
Baker, a Houston native, was previously serving as the Miami Hurricanes’ defensive coordinator, but he was stripped of play-calling duties this offseason.
This will be Baker’s second stint as a coach in the state of Louisiana. He was on staff at Louisiana Tech from 2014-2018. He had spent the last two seasons on Miami’s staff under Manny Diaz.
