The knock on LSU football’s Ed Orgeron early in his coaching career is that he wasn’t willing to delegate and adapt.
That’s the reason typically given for his failure as the head coach at Ole Miss.
I think it’s safe to say, though, that Orgeron’s approach at LSU is completely different than it was at Ole Miss.
And that’s why he’s now an elite head coach.
On Monday, Orgeron reportedly hired former NFL head coach Scott Linehan to serve as LSU’s new passing game coordinator, replacing Joe Brady (who left to be the Carolina Panthers’ offensive coordinator).
