Three years ago, there was no doubt Alex Lange was coming to LSU rather than signing a Major League Baseball contract.
On Monday, it's just as likely Lange will be leaving Tigertown.
His devotion to playing college baseball kept pro baseball organizations from drafting him despite precocious talent in 2014. After three years of refining that talent, Lange isn't expected to last long when the Major League Baseball Draft commences Monday.
"I believe he's a first-round draft choice, probably not in the top half is what I'm hearing," LSU coach Paul Mainieri said.
