LSU football isn’t currently considered a major threat to win the SEC West — not after the Tigers went 5-5 in 2020.

Gilbert left the Tigers last season with two games remaining in the season. At the time, it was rumored that Gilbert was “homesick”.
Rivals recruiting analyst Mike Farrell, however, recently put an end to the idea that Gilbert left LSU because he was homesick.
