The Southeastern Conference announced the members of the 2015 SEC Football Legends class on Tuesday, and among those being honored is former LSU football star Alan Faneca.
Faneca, a consensus first-team All American in 1997, earned a reputation throughout his collegiate career as one of the most dominant offensive linemen in the country.
His arrival on campus in 1995 marking the beginning of a new chapter for the LSU football program.
The Tigers had hired head coach Gerry DiNardo during the offseason, hoping to right the ship after six consecutive losing seasons under Curley Hallman and Mike Archer.
