LSU’s trip to Los Angeles was spoiled by a poor night shooting. Thanks to that andtimely threes by the opposition, the Tigers fell to the USC Trojans 70-68 Saturday night in the Staples Center.
LSU had the game won. The Tigers led for the majority of the game, 28 of 40 minutes in fact. The Tigers were the more physical team, out-rebounding the Trojans and scoring 20 more points in the paint than USC. LSU was well on its way to getting a significant win over a quality opponent and getting back on track before SEC play begins.
