BATON ROUGE, La — Alabama pounded out 13 hits Saturday afternoon and the Crimson Tide posted a 6-5 win over LSU inside Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.
The Tide improved to 29-18 overall and 12-13 in the SEC, while the Tigers fell to 31-19 on the season and 10-16 in conference play.
Tide reliever Connor Shamblin picked up the win pitching 4.2 innings and gave up two runs on three hits.
Right-hander AJ Labas (3-2) suffered the loss. He pitched four innings and gave up five runs on eight hits
Junior left fielder Gavin Dugas went 2-for-4, smashing two home runs off the scoreboard in left field.
