AUBURN, Al. -- Auburn hit a bases-loaded walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth Saturday afternoon to beat LSU, 2-1, in Hitchcock Field at Plainsman Park.
The Tigers will return home to Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field for a midweek matchup against Louisiana Tech on Tuesday, May 11. The game will be telecast on SEC Network+ and available to listen to on affiliates of the LSU Sports Radio Network.
Starting pitcher Ma'Khail Hilliard worked 7.1 innings and allowed only one run off of four hits. Hilliard struckout six and walked none.
LSU took the lead in the top of the first inning when first baseman Tre' Morgan blasted a solo homer, his fifth dinger of the season.
