The LSU Tigers got off to a slow start on Saturday against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. But as the game wore down, so did the West Kentucky defense, allowing the Tigers to pull away for a 48-20 victory.
LSU may have won the game by four touchdowns, but few would have predicted that at the half. The Tigers had just a seven-point lead entering the second half, and simply did not look good. They had compiled just 14 points against one of the worst defense in the country, as special teams continued to be a glaring weakness.
The third quarter did not start out well either for the Bayou Bengals.
